Single vision lenses are ideal for correcting short-sightedness (myopia), long-sightedness (hyperopia) and astigmatism. In addition to optical correction, they offer excellent image quality, aesthetic advantages and low weight. High-refractive materials make it possible to produce both mineral (glass) and organic (plastic) lenses that are particularly thin and light.

Here's how:

1. Select index:
   The refractive index determines the thickness of the lens. The higher the refractive index, the thinner the lens. A higher index is recommended for higher visual acuity.

2. Select tint:
   Choose from various tint options for your lenses. An 85% tint is ideal for sun protection and effectively protects the eyes from glare. All tints offer complete UV protection.

3. Select anti-reflective coating:
   To avoid annoying reflections on the glass surface and to optimize visual performance, choose a suitable anti-reflective coating.

4. Specify strength:

   • Sphere (SPH): The sphere value indicates the correction necessary to improve vision.
   • Cylinder (CYL): This value corrects for astigmatism. If no cylinder value is available, enter 0.00.
   • Axis (AXIS): The axis value is required together with the cylinder value. If the value is missing, please enter 0.
   • Pupillary distance (PD): The distance between the centers of your pupils, usually indicated on the prescription, is important for the exact centering of the lenses.
